It tells you what happened AND why.

Anomaly detection runs continuously. When machine utilization drops below threshold, or a quality metric trends downward for 3+ days, the plant manager gets an alert with context — not just a red number, but what changed and which upstream factor is likely driving it.

The Thursday meeting went from a 90-minute data review to a 25-minute decision session. The operations analyst now spends her time analyzing trends and recommending process improvements instead of copying numbers between tabs. Decision-to-action cycle dropped from 7 days to 1.8 days — 3.8x faster.
